I upgraded my mobile phone recently, and went to my network provider’s local store to do it. I’ll post separately about the customer service there (excellent, incidentally), but while I was there, there was another customer service story unfolding and I confess I did eavesdrop a little. Last week I received an email inviting me to take part in a piece of research for one of the UK’s largest utility suppliers. Sadly, always keen to look at research questionnaires (and not having much of a social life), I decided to take part.
